Three choirs will perform at a warm-up concert for this year's Warwick Folk Festival.
While the Festival officially begins on Friday 29th July, the 'Concert of Choirs' takes place in the main Festival marquee in the grounds of Warwick School, Myton Road at 8pm on Thursday 28th July.
The concert features celebrated Coventry Barbershop harmony group The Sound of Three Spires, the nationally acclaimed Warwickshire County Boys Choir and the phenomenal and zany line-up from Australia's Blue Mountains, The Spooky Men's Chorale, whose repertoire ranges from chants to ballads, from Cole Porter to Earth, Wind And Fire and from Queen to Abba.
Making their third visit to the Festival, Spooky Men also appear at the Friday night concert which also features Coventry singer-songwriter Kristy Gallacher and top English acoustic roots act Show Of Hands.
Tickets for the 'Concert of Choirs' are £15 with concessions if tickets are bought for the full weekend.
Thursday also features a taster 'folk meets jazz' concert at 8.30pm in the School's Lecture Theatre, with music by 18-year-old rising-star singer Becky Wolff backed by The Little Chicken Band.
The line-up features three generations of musicians from the local folk, jazz, blues, dixie and ceilidh band Steamchicken and includes keyboards, drums, mandolin and brass section.
